2008 BikeSmart Poster Contest

The Governor's Bicycling Coordinating Council is pleased to announce the 3rd annual Wisconsin BikeSmart Poster Contest!

The contest is intended to encourage young people to bicycle and to highlight the importance of bicycling for both their mental and physical health.

1st Prize:
To the winning student: A completely outfitted bicycle (includes bicycle, bicycle helmet, bicycle lock, and front and rear bicycle lights), a Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin membership and ball cap, a framed copy of the winning poster, and an award certificate

To the school that the winning student attends:
a Saris outdoor bicycle parking rack of their choice

2nd Prize:
To the winning student:a bicycle helmet, bicycle lock, bicycle light, a one year Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin membership, an insulated travel mug and an award certificate3rd Prize:

To the winning student: a one year Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin membership and insulated travel mug, and an award certificate

Guidelines:
1. Contest open to public/private school children in grade 5 only
2. One submission accepted per student
3. Posters should be no larger than 8 ½" x 11"
4. Entries should reflect the theme "Bicycle Friendly Wisconsin"
5. Submissions will not be returned to student
6. Entries must arrive at BFW by 5 pm on Friday, April 4, 2008 for consideration
7. Winner will be notified no later than April 30, 2008
8. BFW and the Governor's Bicycle Coordinating Council may use winning image for any purpose which promotes bicycling in Wisconsin

Each entry MUST be identified with:

  • Full Name of Student and mailing address
  • Teacher's name, school phone # and address
  • Parent name, home address and phone #
