What does it take to become a Worksite Coordinator?
Worksite coordinators are central for the success of the Bike to Work Week idea:
Spread the word about the fun of bicycle commuting, and assist new commuters
with their first steps. You know as well as we do, once your co-workers discover
bicycle commuting, they will be hooked, and you will have helped to change their
life for ever. It's just that one first step...
Below we describe how you as a worksite coordinator can help with that one first
step, and how Bike to Work Week will assist you with
your task.

to
Work Week, so your off-site resources are already at hand!
|
| Register workmates for Bike to Work Week |
We will provide... |
| Decide when and where you will register people for Bike to Work
Week. At your desk or a table in the lobby from 7-9am, Monday through
Friday? This depends on your hours and type of business. Don't forget
to put this info on your fliers and other promotional items! |
Online pre-registration, so co-workers who wish to
make an advance commitment to participate may do so. In May, you'll
be able to pick up Bike to Work Posters and commuting information.
Your coworkers' registrations put your company in the running for
prizes in the Worksite Challenge Competition! |
Note: Starting in 2004, Bike Fed will no longer be registering Worksite
Coordinators. We still encourage individuals to promote bike commuting
at their places of work, however. Please feel free to stop by the Bike
Fed office and pick up information to help you promote bike commuting.
