Action Cycle! Youth Engagement girls bike club in Milwaukee is back!

Action Cycle! is a bicycle centered, community focused movement. The participants are made up of middle school aged, female youth who live in the Milwaukee area, focusing on area codes 53206 and 53212.

Action Cycle! is led by our long time Safe Routes to School instructor and League of American Bicyclists Certified Safety Instructor Angela Livermore.

As a youth member of Action Cycle, bi-weekly group rides are taken to explore and discover the city. A journal entry of each participant will be blogged concerning what was exciting along with what street or experience made them feel unsafe.

This movement is meant to show the youth that they can lead and be heard.  The program aspires to encourage youth to find bicycle routes to school, or other typical youth destinations, safely and independently. Action Cycle is a platform to use the power of the bicycle for youth to organize neighborhood improvement. Ultimately this program is a conduit for change where needed while empowering young female youth along the ride.

All rides leave from Dream Bikes at 11am.

They are held on Saturdays May 6th, May 20th, June 3rd, and June 10th.

Please attend the info meeting or contact Angela for more info or to sign up your daughter at  (414) 553-7456.
