It’s great to see young people. doing great work in the community! Here is a story that one Taylor Waddell asked us to post on his behalf.
My name is Taylor Waddell I am a Boy Scout with Troop 558 in West Allis and I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Project. First off an Eagle Project is the final service project a boy scout has to take in order to achieve the final rank of Eagle. The Eagle rank is renowned for its skill to achieve but also for the great qualities such as kindness, courage and thriftiness that are seen in someone with the rank. My project is to install Dero Fixit Bike fixing stations along the Hank Aaron and Oak leaf state trails.
This project has been approved by the Director of the Hank Aaron Trail. These Bike fixing stations are equipped with many tools used to repair bikes, an air pump and are also very durable and weather resistant. As these stations are very high tech, the cost is around 1000$ each. I plan to install a minimum of 1 of these along these trails. The reason why I chose this as my project is because in recent years biking has become very popular, and with the creation of these new state trails, it has increased even more in the Milwaukee area. These stations would help the many people using the trails each year to better commute and enjoy the trails when their bikes are broken and need repair at no cost. These stations could increase the use of the trails and biking in your community, and may help to increase travel to your business along these trails. Your contribution would make a big difference within your community and the trail’s users.
Taylor needs your support, and has a deadline before September 22nd.
