Cast your vote in the Bike Fed Board of Directors Election!

Bike Fed Board of Directors

Have you heard? Voting for the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Bike Fed is open, now through 11:59pm on Sunday November 30. Click Here to Vote!

You may care more about riding your bike than about the governance structure of the Bike Fed. But (civics lesson alert – stay with me here): the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin Education Foundation, commonly known as the Wisconsin Bike Fed, is governed by a 21-member volunteer Board of Directors. 12 of those Directors are elected by the Bike Fed membership. Directors serve 3-year terms, so there are four Board seats up for election every year.

Still with me? Good. No, there won’t be a test. But yes, this is a great opportunity to have your say and shape the direction of the Bike Fed.

We have 12 impressive candidates vying for four open seats. They’re all running because they’re passionate about making a difference for bicycling in Wisconsin. They bring a diverse set of skills and experiences. You can read their comments about themselves and how they want to strengthen the Wisconsin Bike Fed.

So:

  • If you’re a Bike Fed member: Vote! Voting to elect your Board representatives is one of your many benefits of membership.
  • If you’re a candidate: Thank you for running. Get the word out! In past years we’ve seen that campaigning makes a difference. Urge your friends to vote for you. If they aren’t Bike Fed members, urge them to join so they can vote for you. The online voting page, conveniently, has a membership sign-up link right there.
  • If you’ve read this far and you’re not a Bike Fed member: Wow, we appreciate your interest. Now would be a great time to join and exercise your voting rights as a new member!
